Beekeeping for beginners | |
| Classes start Dec. 6 in Athens
Learn about the basics and beehives. The Beekeeping for Beginners Series will start on Dec. 6 in Athens, Ga., and will cover the fundamentals of beekeeping. All classes will be held from 9 a.m. to noon. The first will cover beekeeping basics, followed on Jan. 10 with the care and feeding of honeybees and on Feb. 7 with the ABCs of assembling a beehive. The classes will be taught by Dan Harris, a beekeeper with the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and at Booger Hill Farm in Athens.
